Overview
The Flip-POST PCI card is a passive POST Diagnostic Code
Reader Card. Used with the technical manual and up to date BIOS
manufacturers diagnostic codes, this product can help a pc technician
quickly and easily diagnose faults in ANY IBM or compatible PC
hardware failing to boot up. The Flip-POST PCI card will monitor
ISA, EISA, MCA and PCI functions!
Usage
EASY TO USE - There are NO jumpers or switches to set.
Simply plug the card into any free ISA, EISA or PCI slot on the
non-booting PC and switch on power.
The PC's BIOS performs a POST (Power On
Self Test) of system components. For each test the BIOS sends an identifier code (POST Code) to the
system speaker (beep codes). The FlipPOST PCI card intercepts these
signals, and displays the code on the hexadecimal digital displays on the
test card. If any test fails, the display halts at the failing test identifier code.
Flip-POST is the
Universal POST reader card, designed to quickly and easily
troubleshoot a dead PC in a matter of minutes in 3 easy steps:

Insert the Flip-POST PCI card into a spare PCI or ISA slot

Power the system on and observe the 9 LED lights and
the digital display which will show a series of sets of code
numbers, if it finds a problem, the display on will stop on a
number, this is the error code.

Simply look the code up in the comprehensive manual under the correct BIOS and
in a minute or two,
you'll know exactly why the computer isn't booting, and what you
have to do to fix it!

reference the manual with the failure code and find the exact
cause of the boot problem and/or the component that failed.
COMPACT DESIGN
- FlipPost is far less bulky than most other PCI/ISA combo POST

TRAP RESET SWITCH - Allows
the Reset Detector to function in trap or continuous mode.
LED'S - 9 LEDs monitor power supply voltages, Reset, Oscillator, BIOS,
Clock, Run Status. MONITORS
PCI FUNCTIONS - such as Initiator
Ready, Frame, and Device Select etc. DETECTS CARD LOCKUP'S - FlipPOST is the only
card in its class to provide a true solution to ISA and PCI signal problems. The reason this is important is that bus transactions can be locked up by faulty adapter cards
with faulty PnP handshake signals, causing a boot failure
or freezing in mid boot. MONITORS
PLUG n PLAY - FlipPOST monitors the major PnP transaction signals, so if
there's a problem with a handshake, you will know. Particularly useful when installing or troubleshooting PCs and Networks or add-in PC

FAULT CODE DISPLAYS - Flip-POST has 3 x 4 digit
hexadecimal displays to read out Bios POST codes. One is mounted on each side of the card
for easy viewing from either side, the other can be attached via a
ribbon cable for remote viewing.
MULTIPLE FAULT DETECTION:
The Flip-POST PCI card will identify multiple faults.
CYCLING BUTTONS:
With Flip-POST PCI you can 'cycle' the displays through
multiple fault codes.
