The first mention of the
medicinal use of coral Calcium is found in Indian Ayurvetic Medicine, dating back some 5,000 years. Coral was first introduced as medicine to the
Western World by the 9th century Arab expansion into Europe. The Persian philosopher Al-Kindi included coral in the "Medical Formulary" in
830 A.D.
In the 20th century Coral
Calcium use in the island of Okinawa attracted the attention of Dr Bob Barefoot who conducted extensive research into it's affects. Okinawa has the
highest incidence of people over 100 years of age in the world and Dr Barefoot's conclusions indicate that Coral Calcium has very significant health
benefits which, along with a healthy diet, have contributed to the longevity of Okinawan people.
An adequate daily intake of calcium is not only needed to form healthy bones and teeth, but also in
preventing colon and rectal cancers, high blood pressure, and even preventing pms or premenstrual syndrome. Calcium also plays an important role in
weight loss, muscular contractions, vision, assisting with regulating heartbeat, transmitting nerve impulses, blood clotting, and helping to maintain
the walls of blood vessels and much more....
