What is the format of the Network+ exam?
The network+ exam is a conventional multiple choice format comprising identification and situational questions.
How many questions are on the Network+ exam?
There are 72 questions on the Network+ exam.
How much time is allowed to complete the Network+ exam?
You are allowed a maximum of 90 minutes to complete the Network+ exam.
What is the minimum score required to pass the Network+ exam?
646 points is the minimum passing score for the Network+ exam from a maximum of 900 points.
What is the exam code for the Network+ test?
The exam code for the Network+ test is N10-002.
Are there any pre-requisites necessary for the Network+ certification?
No pre-requisites are required to take the Network+ exam. However, we recommend having A+ certification or an equivalent knowledge level before taking this course.

Can I receive college credit for becoming Network+ certified?
Yes. In the U.S. Regents Excelsior College awards college credit for both the A+® and Network+™ certifications towards a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS). Contact Regents college at www.itdegree.com

What other certifications does Network+ apply to?
Network+ is accepted as an elective towards Microsoft's MCSE certification. Lotus accepts Network+ as a requirement of the CLP Domino Messaging Administrator R4 certification. Compaq requires Network+ or an equivalent for the Administrator Tru64 UNIX v5 and OpenVMS v7 certifications.

It is the policy of CompTIA to make reasonable accommodations for US residents with disabilities. If you need special accommodations, contact your testing center 30 days before scheduling your exam and have your disability documentation available. What Comptia certifications are available from Micro 2000, Inc?

If I fail my exam, do I have to pay to retake it?
Yes, you have to pay the fee every time you take the test.

Will I ever need to renew my certification?
No, CompTIA certifications are lifetime certifications.
When will I receive my certificate and ID card?
You will receive your certificate and ID card within 4 - 6 weeks of passing your exam. If you have not received your materials after 8 weeks, contact CompTIA at

. Include your name, address, phone number and ID number.
How do I get a new or replacement certificate or ID card?
You can update your certificate and ID or order replacements by filling out and submitting the Certification Replacement Application form or faxing it to us at 630.268.9071. Incomplete forms will not be processed. Include your name as you want it to appear on your certificate.

Which CompTIA exams can I apply towards the MCSA certification?
You can fulfill the MCSA elective exam requirement if you are CompTIA A+ certified AND either CompTIA Server+ certified or CompTIA Network+ certified.
